Events taking place in Carham parish.
Christmas Church Services
The churches of St Cuthbert, St Helen and St Paul have published details of their Christmas church services including information about how Covid-19 restrictions will be met. In Carham there will be a carol service at St Cuthbert’s at 11.00 am on Sunday 20 December, and a Communion service at 9.30 am on Christmas day. Both services are open to all people, of any faith or none. For further information, contact the Church Warden, Peter Straker-Smith, on 01890 830 316.

Carham 1018 Conference
The Carham 1018 Society is holding a virtual conference on the afternoon of Sunday 15 November. Topics will include the recent archaeological and geophysical investigations at Carham, Carham and the Anglo-Scottish border, and Carham and the St Cuthbert connection. This conference was to have taken place earlier this year, but had to be postponed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Annual Assembly 2020
Carham parish’s Annual Assembly was held on 8 September. The meeting agreed the minutes of the previous year’s Annual Assembly, reviewed the Parish Council’s internal audit, and approved its financial accounting and governance statements and its certificate of exemption. If you live or work in the parish, you are welcome to attend as an observer only. You will not be able to make comments. Please contact the Parish Clerk if you wish to attend.

The play park in Wark is closed until further notice. This is to comply with UK Government measures introduced yesterday for the control of Covid-19.
Parish Council meetings have been suspended, and the next Footpaths Group walk and the Garden Exchange have been postponed.
