Voting on Thursday 2 May
With elections coming up this Thursday 2 May, this is a reminder that to vote in England you now need to show photo ID at the polling station. There is a list of the accepted forms of photo ID on the Electoral Commission website. You will only need to show one form of photo ID, but it needs to be the original version and not a photocopy. These elections are for the Police and Crime Commissioner for the Northumbria police area, and for the Mayor for the North East Mayoral Combined Authority. There is information about both on the Northumberland County Council website, with links to other websites for further details.
Coffee Morning
A reminder that the coffee morning is this coming Saturday 20 April in Cornhill Village Hall. This event is to raise money for the Carham parish defibrillator fund. There will be tea, coffee and hopefully some cakes, as well as a raffle, a wheel of fortune, a craft and produce table, and bric-a-brac. Donations of raffle prizes, baked goods and produce are welcome. The event begins at 10.30 and the raffle will be drawn at about 11.30. We look forward to seeing you there!
Parish Council Meeting
The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on Tuesday 12 March 2024 at 6.30 pm in St Cuthbert’s Church, Carham. You can find the agenda and minutes of previous meetings on our Meetings page. All parishioners are welcome to attend the meeting.
Parishioners’ questions are answered before the main meeting proceedings begin. If you have a question for the Parish Council, please send this to the Parish Clerk in advance of the meeting. Mindrum Farm Walk
The Footpaths Group had arranged to visit Mindrum farm in December last year, but the walk had to be cancelled because of the weather. It has now been rearranged for Thursday 7 March, starting at 10 am.

Everyone is welcome, including well-behaved dogs on leads. For more information, see the poster on our Walks page.
It would be helpful to have some idea of numbers, so if you plan to come along please email the walks organiser or send a text to 07557 211 564. We hope you’ll be able to join us!
