Next Footpaths Group Walk
The next walk organised by the footpaths group will be on Saturday 23 November 2024, starting at 10 am. This is a linear walk of 4.5 miles, from Cornhill to Barley Hill. Return transport will be provided for those who do not want to return on foot. Everyone welcome, including well-behaved dogs on leads. For more information, see the poster on our Walks page. Next Saturday’s Walk
If you are planning to come on next Saturday’s Footpaths Group walk, please note that the starting point is now the Cornhill Village Hall car park at 10 am. The route has had to be shortened, and will now be 4.5 miles. These changes are because part of the byway from Wark to West Learmouth is too overgrown to attempt. Everyone is welcome on this walk, including well-behaved dogs on leads. For more information, see the poster on our Walks page.

This 5.5 mile circular walk starts and ends in Wark and is on footpaths, byways and the old railway line. Everyone welcome, including well-behaved dogs on leads. Footpaths Group Walk Cancelled
Tomorrow’s guided walk around Mindrum farm has had to be cancelled, due to the weather. The back lanes are particularly bad in these freezing conditions, and there is a thick covering of snow over the farmland. The walks organiser hopes to re-schedule this walk when conditions improve.
Next Footpaths Group Walk
This is another chance to enjoy a guided walk around Mindrum farm with Tom Fairfax who will be talking about regenerative farming and other developments at this mixed organic farm, which the Footpaths Group last visited in 2019. The five-mile walk is on Saturday 2 December 2023 and starts at 10 am. Everyone is welcome, including well-behaved dogs on leads. For more information, see the poster on our Walks page.

Next Footpaths Group Walk
The next walk organised by the footpaths group will be on Saturday 3 September 2022. This is a farm walk at West Learmouth, an 850 acre mixed farm that has recently converted to organic farming. Former pasture land has been planted with native trees, and former arable land has been planted with wildlife-friendly seed mixes as part of the process of converting it to regenerative pasture. Next Footpaths Group Walk

This 4.5 mile walk will revisit the bridleway, footpaths and quiet lanes first visited by the footpaths group in November 2018. Please come prepared for some uneven terrain.
