The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on Monday 8 September 2025 at 6.30 pm in St Cuthbert’s Church, Carham. You can find the agenda and minutes of previous meetings on our Meetings page.

Parishioners’ questions are answered before the main meeting proceedings begin. If you have a question for the Parish Council, please send this to the Parish Clerk in advance of the meeting.   • Before the Parish Council meeting our local County Councillor, Mark Mather, is holding a councillor surgery for the residents of Carham parish. He will be available to answer and discuss any parishioners’ questions, on a one-to-one basis. If you have a question for him, come along to the church at any time between 5 pm and 6 pm.

Highways and Transport Priorities

The Parish Council has been asked to identify the top three highways and transport priority issues for the parish. These will be considered for possible inclusion in Northumberland County Council’s annual capital programme of works. When assessing requests, Northumberland County Council will be looking at the reason for the priority (e.g. pedestrian safety, speeding traffic) rather than any proposed solution. Please note that this is a capital funding programme and does not cover routine maintenance work such as pothole-filling or gully cleaning. For more information, or to put forward a request, please contact the Parish Clerk. Requests will be discussed by the Parish Council at its meeting on 11 July.
