Glendale Connect is asking for help in identifying people in our community who might benefit from receiving a hamper this Christmas. If you know anyone in Carham parish who is going to be on their own at Christmas, or is finding life difficult at the moment, or is isolated, and you think they would be cheered by receiving a hamper, please contact the Parish Clerk.
The Carham 1018 Society is holding a virtual conference on the afternoon of Sunday 15 November. Topics will include the recent archaeological and geophysical investigations at Carham, Carham and the Anglo-Scottish border, and Carham and the St Cuthbert connection. This conference was to have taken place earlier this year, but had to be postponed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Carham parish’s Annual Assembly was held on 8 September. The meeting agreed the minutes of the previous year’s Annual Assembly, reviewed the Parish Council’s internal audit, and approved its financial accounting and governance statements and its certificate of exemption.
