Carham Parish Defibs will be at Cornhill Village Fair this coming Sunday, 20 July, to raise money for the parish’s defibrillator fund. If you are not able to get to Sunday’s event, raffle tickets are available now at Cornhill Village Shop. Tickets are £1 each and all profits will go towards buying and installing public access defibrillators in Carham parish. Cornhill Village Fair is from 12 to 3 pm, and the raffle draw is at 2.30 pm. Raffle Draw
The draw for Carham Parish Defibs’ Big Summer Raffle will be tomorrow, Saturday 31 August, at 11.00 in Cornhill Village Hall. Doors open at 10.30. Tea, coffee and scones will be available, by donation, and last-minute raffle tickets can be bought before the draw takes place.
After the draw, at about 11.15, there will be a CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) and defibrillator demonstration. If you live in the parish and you are planning to apply for a public access defibrillator for your community, this is an opportunity to come along and see how these life-saving procedures are carried out, and ask any questions you have about them.
Everyone is welcome to this event, which is expected to finish by 12.00.
